I hope Delta will try and match the benefits and pay these employee's were making. Good story.

Once again Delta has given Minnesota the shaft. Their legacy here is lost jobs and higher fares.

They effectively re set everyone's pay to year one. $8.50 an hour. Can't park airplanes without people. So sorry for the inconvience but no one show up for work today.

Delta doesn't match any of the pay/benefits. DGS is a subsidiary company, wholly owned by Delta, but not run "by" Delta. Pay and benefits are going down. Premiums for supervisors/managers, but everyone else is taking pay cuts and gets a reduction in benefits. After 2+ years of working for Regional Elite, I'll be taking almost a dollar an hour pay cut, maxing out at $9.10, the most anyone can ever make for DGS.

This has only been news when the Atlanta constitution journal ran a story on delta cutting 4500 jobs but would not effect Atlanta or the state of Georgia.

Mr. Phelps should interview some of the employees who are rolling over to DGS and some who have quit. Real people perspective would make for a much more interesting story. The general public has no understanding as to how challenging (and rewarding) working for an airline really is. It has "sitcom" (or reality show) written all over it!
