Desperate times require desperation measures. Wait, we're not that desperate.

Dumb. And putting in Webb is not irrational. What if Ponder got hurt.He is their #2.He'd be tasked with the same regimen and expectations as Ponder so again I say..dumb.

Favre is the answer, I completely agree. I'd go to the dome again. The pass to Greg Lewis in '09 was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

to quote the guy from the thursday night football commercial..."It's Serious Fun"! having said that, the other number in my irrational book is Warner's..the guy did put that out there (even if it was a joke). either way you slice, i don't believe CP is the long term answer, so if he flops again...let's roll the dice on the other 2 waiting in the wings...GO VIKES!!!

I dont know why Webb wasnt inserted late in the last game, He had come from behind victories last year that were amazing. Ponders' not getting it done! plain and simple. put in Webb.

Just like they have been saying on the other blogs. You are a pro, this is your livelyhood.Do you give 100% and chance getting hurt when your coach won,t do what is needed to WIN the game?

Since he appears to have some coaching experience, why not just make him the head coach? Can't be worse than what we've got. And, in a pinch, he could suit up! Just like player/coach Reggie Dunlop. For an ironic twist he could put a bounty on someone's head! Stop me now before I suggest we draft the Hanson Bros as linebackers.

Alan Page is still in town and the Supreme Court does not meet on Sunday's. I'm just saying.

Having good Brett and bad Brett here for 2 years was the most fun that I have ever had as a Vikings fan. The NFC divisional playoff game against Dallas was insane. I can only hope for such times again.

When you break it down, I am not sure how we assume that Ponder is better than or has more potential than Webb. Webb is taller, faster, stronger, and has a better arm than Ponder. From what I saw in training camp, Ponder has the weakest arm of all the remaining QB's on the team. Rosenfels had a weaker arm than Ponder, but that guy is like 150 years old. The Law Firm can flat out throw the ball hard and there is more potential there then people might think. What would happen if they threw caution to the wind and gave Joe a real chance to play with real game planning, and real game preparation? Would he be terrible, maybe. Really can't get much worse than it is right now.
