Cops that think the law is for "other people" are the most dangerous.

And if a drug suspect refuses to talk they are held for days on end until they cough up some information. LEO on the other hand have to option to speak or not to speak. The double standards and hypocrisy are what makes the war on drugs quite possibly the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the American public.

NONE of the offficers should be employed in law enforcement, we must hold them to a higher standard.

File the charges, get them into court and force them to testify regarding the activities of the others. Doesn't the fifth only apply to self incrimination? And wouldn't failure to answer questions put one in contempt of court, and lying would be purjury? Make 'em squirm and someone will talk.

These disgusting pigs should be fired. Good to see these are the kinds of people who's hands we put the law into. How could you believe another word any of these idiots say in court again?

Guess all it takes is some organization and you can get away with anything in Hennepin County. That, and when you work with who you are prosecuting...eh, who cares. How these cops still have tax-payer jobs...is sad.

(from the article) Freeman spokesman Chuck Laszewski said the officers' refusal to be interviewed "was only one factor and not necessarily the biggest factor" in the decision on charges. (and then) "This is no different than many of the gang cases we have where the gang members won't testify," he said. ---- REALLY? ARE YOU AND FREEMAN SERIOUS IN THAT STATEMENT?! You just reduced the integrity level of your entire force of police officers to that of gang members! That your own officers stonewalling you is just like how gang members do and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, TOLERATED BY YOU?? With what measure of weight/honesty are judges now to review the testimony of officers who are required to testify in court against perpetrators?!?! Don't police officers take an OATH or has that requirement been thrown out the window? The officers' "refusal to be interviewed" should be the BIGGEST FACTOR to be worried about. To Serve and Protect...I didn't think that statement meant themselves! Disgusting behavior by Freeman.
