Nope--story wrong. Its not being finished--the state doesn't have the money to pay the workers so they quit. If anyone is out working on that thing they are scabs and probably need to be chased off.

Funny, I don't know anyone who noticed it was closed. Yet we'll build that $700M boondoggle bridge right next to it anyway - 'cause money grows on trees. Yep, and we'll continue pouring $100000s, if not $millions, into maintaining AND operating that rusty old lift bridge, too. Thank goodness Michelle Bachmann pushed this thru the House - 'cause some of us thought she said we were broke.

I noticed the bridge was closed when I had to drive well out of my way to get to my destination just on the other side of the St. Croix. A new bridge is needed, but not a $700 million one.
