An Iron Range hunt produced only a single deer, but that was to be expected.

Enjoyed reading your article. I grew up in the UP and I will be heading back to Dickinson Co near Iron Mountain to hunt with my brothers and pastor. Your description of the opening morning really invoked great memories for me....

Very nice read. I'm sure many find it difficult to understand why you would keep going back. There is much more to the hunt than the taking of a deer and those are things that keep us going back. Over the years we have also introduced people that are not from the area to the hunt and only one kept coming back.

Nice story. For me it is not so much about the hunt but the return to family.
