Playing Michigan who you haven't beaten at home in 35 years! Give Kill credit, he went after them and tried everything. Gophers played hard and that failed decision by Kill didn't play that big a factor in the outcome!

Kill has made some really bad, Brewster-esque type decisions so far this year, and it really does invite more scrutiny about his coaching methods.

I thought there were some questionable play calls throughout the game. Perhaps Nelson hasn't practiced the entire offensive selections yet. But the misdirection place on their lone touchdown sure seemed like something to try again later, but they didn't seem to get back to it. Also, could someone block Michigan's #47, Ryan. Block him, and the Gophers score another touchdown or two, easily. And it sure didn't look like the receivers were running the correct routes on some of those deep patterns the Gophers tried. The ball was always off the other shoulder from where the receiver was going. Or maybe Nelson hasn't worked with them enough. They sure missed Barker. IF he had been able to play, give the Gophers two more TD's and this game is interesting cause Michigan could have been had today. Minnesota should have been up 14-0 or 21-0 by early in the second quarter.

Agree 100%! I love Kill and am a big supporter but that was the wrong call and an awful and unnecessary call. He's a gambler and risk taker and I like that, but he got way ahead of himself their and lost his head for a moment. That was the turning point of the game, just look at the score after that. Kick the field goal, get your points, kick off, and let your defense feed off of the points.

Hey we're talking about Coach Kill rolling the dice - certainly better than talking about the U not being able to compete. Rembember college football programs are not built via draft choices, free agency or trades. Look where the program has been and the direction it is going now. Go Gophers!

Kill is in way way way over his head. He is not Division I material. His recruiting is nothing to write home about and you win with players. All the gimicks in the world is not going to make Kill successful.

Anyone else sick and tired of watching Kill rant and rant at officials? A minor league coach in a major league game. What has he done to make you 'in love' with him? A coach that would back out of a game with North Carolina s/b critized.

"The ball [Nelson threw]was always off the other shoulder from where the receiver was going.".. but it was on the opposite side from the defender, which is where it is supposed to go if the receiver did not get adequate separation. The passes were correct - but the route running was terrible.

Kill and his staff, especially Limegrover, seem to be in over their head. The play calling is simplistic, predictable, and the fact that you need to try trick plays in an attempt to score reeks of desperation. While Kill's philosophies may have worked in Division II and against "coaches" like Brewster, they seem significantly underwhelming in the Big 10 when up against quality opponents.
