The long wait was over for Madonna fans, who dressed in her old looks Saturday at Xcel Energy Center and saw how much their lives have changed since her last show here in 1987.

Madonna rules! Lady Gaga is no comparison. The 80's and early 90's were great! Makes me remember when MTV actually played music videos instead of the garbage that they air now. There is an internet radio station streaming from the U.K. called Neon Radio that plays nothing but 80's and 90's pop and dance ( 1980 - 1995). Check it out for some great memories! :) nonstopneon dot com. I LOVED that era!

"Excitement also ran high among the gay men who make up another big chunk of Madonna's crowd. And yes, a few dressed like her, too." >>>> OMG, I'm so sorry I missed it!

Anyone else tired of a 55 year old woman in a cheerleading outfit?

I understand this is Madonna, so the official reviews will be positive, neutral at the worst. And as "show," it was a good show - nice spectacle and theatrics and over-the-top stuff. Good work. The reviews, and even your friends who went to it, will be scared to actually admit that the concert was a bummer. For starters, it was missing any attempt by the artist to actually engage the crowd sitting in the stands. The initial numbers were so heavy on auto-tune that I wondered if any of it was live. I was disappointed that she relied so heavily on 2 songs on pre-recorded interludes by Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Entire sections - 107, 108, 112, etc. - were sitting down less than 2 songs in. And other than bringing people to their feet for Express Yourself and Like a Prayer, this was a crowd that SAT for the concert. (Never thought I'd say that about a Madonna concert.) If you're looking to hear Like a Virgin in recognizable form, Material Girl, Lucky Star, Ray of Light, Music and full-form of any of her hit singles, you don't get it in this concert. It's a case of the artist being so darn full of herself that she doesn't give a rip about her fans. And finally: the political speak. I agreed with some of what she said, but still: If I wanted to hear more political rancor, I could have stayed home and watched the 10:00 news for free. The people in the row behind us were debating whether to leave the concert at 11:30.

Yes theagonybho I think they are - "Her career has spanned decades, survived fashions and struggled through a variety of public relations disasters. But last night hundreds of die-hard Madonna fans abandoned their Queen of Pop by marching out of London's Hyde Park during her MDNA concert - some branding it the worst they had ever seen. Even a sexy striptease on stage left fans cold- one simply stated: 'When Madonna has concerts in her 50s where she strips herself on stage, you know her career is as dead as myspace."

It's so cool to see that Madonna reinvented herself as Gwen Stefani of 10 years ago.

"I have no regrets," Madonna sang near the song Gang Bang's end. "I'm going straight to hell. I've got a lot of friends there." Oooo, wow. Here I thought it was only poorly schooled teens who engaged in such thoughtless audacity? Peter Pan, I mean Madonna, still refuses to grow up apparently and deal with life’s reality.

Most over-rated "artist" in history.

Agree with the above poster: Most overrated "artist" in music history. I am surprised there are more than a couple dozen people even interested in seeing this burned out fraud from the 80's.

The concert was decent, not great. But the biggest disappointment was that she had a sketchy DJ open for her. Really? A DJ? I can do that with my smartphone. For tickets that went for over $350 if folks sat in the pricey section, you can't find an artist or group that will perform live?
