Early voting, Minnesota style

Voters at Minneapolis City Hall turned in 220 absentee ballots on Saturday, far fewer than collected the same day four years ago.

The more contentious and divisive an election, the lower the turnout... The lower the turnout, the more the voting demographic shifts to the Republicans... It has been no secret that the GOP policy has for decades been to create as much division and nasty as possible in order to lower voter turnout by having those disgusted stay away. That was policy back in Reagan, in the conservative takeover in the early 90s, and it is today. The play for keeps - it's politics - if it works, they use it. Manipulating the voter is as old as elections... If a voter doesn't have the guts to vote and make that policy of manipulating them ineffective on them, then that voter gets what they deserve. No sympathy for fools and cowards who get manipulated and just take it.
