Frustration in the red zone left its own bad taste, as did failure to contain the Wolverines on several downfield bombs.

Once again, safely entrenched in the cellar. And Northern Illinois, which was a better team before Kill than during Kill (except for one injury prone and unlucky year - 2007)is struggling along at 9 -1 without the coach who "turned them around" ha!

Where is the criticism of Limegrover? The play calling is utterly predictable and, at times, maddening. 75% run on 1st down? 1st and goal from inside the 5 yard line twice and we lose yards? We kick a field goal in the 4th down by 18 points? Place the blame where it is due: The overmatched coaching staff.

It is too bad the U of MN does not want a good football program they showed this when they got rid of Mr. Mason.

Toosweet64, I agree with you completely. I have posted this before about Limegrover. He is so predictable...trying to make this a power running team which they are not built for. Runs on 1st & 2nd downs then throwing on 3rd downs. Gophers have a QB who can throw so take advantage and do some roll out option plays giving him the option to throw or run. Granted they didn't gave Barker today, but take advantage if Gray's size and speed. Not impressed at all with Limegrover.

Again we can't win a trophy game. Can we start a new trophy game with someone like SW MN State, one we can win once in a decade?

so the plays went run run run run run....run run run, pass, run, quarterback sneak....run pass...run...not use gray a whole lot at receiver, run some more, get to the red zone, decide to fake the field goal (stupid move) run some more, get to the 3 yard line, kick the field goal, even though we know the defense is terrible and has been for what? 10 years now? i like the direction with the quarterback, but this defense is predictable, offense is predictable, and there is NO WAY we are going to take back the axe or jug in another 10 years and it will continue to be frustration on our end, and we all know why no one goes to that lovely new stadium. get a better product, i want kill to do well, but if he is getting outcoached than we need something better not just 2nd or 3rd or on the bottom of the pole.

Both outstanding coaches..and tremendous individuals.. Gophers fans need to decide... One with an affliction....one who wins football games... Two stories.....two choices Both are correct.....both are worthy It's what's important....

They should outfit Nelson with some helmet shades so he doesnt give away his intentions until he can pick up secondary recievers. It will come. Also he should throw a pump fake once in awhile. He's young, he's getting excited and needs to think like he belongs out there. Hang in there kid.

Kill Kill's contract. The players do have some talent and some tenacity. But the coaching is terrible. Evidence bad play calls and lack of fundamentals with the players.
