Did humans turn Sandy into a superstorm?

If memory serves me correct, for hunderds, of thousands of millions of years, there have been hurricans, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, etc. Now, in the past few years, every natural event comes with the tag "global warming". It would be appreciated if someone would differentiate between natural events which have occured in cycles for years, versus an event blamed on global warming. Inquiring minds want to know.
