They still don't have any offense......In theory, 'ya can win all games by just 1 Goal....,Nobody Canisius By 1 Goal, Minnesota State By Just 1 Goal.....But, when 'ya come up against teams that have a real Offense...It'll Kill 'ya If Yours Isn't Flyin'...

Tough Mavericks...the same Mavericks that were blown out by St. Cloud State 10 goals to 2 last weekend. Lucia once again has a ton of talent, but is totally clueless what to do with it. Keep juggling lines Don to at least give the appearance you are doing more than just collecting a paycheck.

Wow. The guys on the 1st 2 comments obviously have not watched the games. The offense has been peppering goalies all season. The flood gates will open and when they do a bunch of goals are gonna pour in.

Many casual observers don't realize there are very few easy wins at the D1 level these days. Quite often it is not the most talented team that wins, but it's which one works the hardest and which has the better goaltending. It looks like Wilcox is the real deal, so the Gophers should be just fine. Just don't expect them to win every game by 5 goals.

#2 gophs allow these teams to look a whole lot better than what they are! the big mistake by MSUM was going to the penalty box. Giving the gophs an advantage, when the gophs should have quite easily handled them 5 on 5, cost them the game on a night when the gophs were off. there are some things in the game that just have to cause the coaches nightmares! The game would have been quite different if any of the wild shots by Bjugstad would have gone in. The defense needs help, especially one particular freshman fellow who had too many turnovers and even shot the puck at his own goalie! But maybe its just the fact that other teams love to beat the #2 and reigning MacNaugton champ gophs and they shift into their highest gear giving the gophs a much tougher challenge over 60 minutes than expected. Regardless, the gophs got the 2 points and beat a team they are supposed to beat....and sweep.

unremarkable game by gophs but a victory. The Bugler misses on a couple more nice setups, they'll start going in sooner or later. I bet Coxie wishes he had the two Kato goals back. There are times when I think the team is playing too much perimeter hockey, trying for the highlight reel plays inside, but when the opponents are clogging passing and shooting lanes you do what you have to do to try and pull them out. Not an overly exciting game by any means, and sometimes the Gophs didn't look totally into it, but responded with energy at times. Got a victory in kind of a typical slog-thru league game. Does Shibs get the nod tonight??

BTW... nice game by Phil Cook, he did what he had to do. He has had his ups and downs but is capable of putting up some good games...

What happened to Grant Potulny? His face and nose looks like a catcher's mitt these days! Does this guy have substance abuse issues? His 2nd period interview made him appear 55 years old.

Gophers allowing Mankato to look better than they are? Mmm Gophers have struggled in every WCHA game this year-so appears the Gophers aren't quite as good as their fans hoped for.
