Govenment Motors CEO (Obama) and board members (UAW) should learn from this if they want us stockholders (citizens) to stop losing billions of our money.

In the past couple of years SJM has shifted a large percentage of their production away from high tax countries like the U.S. and Sweden to low cost places like Costa Rica and Thailand. To effectively compete in a global marketplace and survive, they really have no choice. The tax on U.S. corporations ranks with the highest in the world, so it's little wonder why our economy is stagnant and unemployment remains a huge problem. All this will get worse until we elect new leadership.

They cut most of their R&D staff. So check your facts or just call one of the several R&D people who got cut.

Everyone knows big companies like St Jude can't/don't innovate. They acquire IP. One gets the sense that this story is intended to soften the political blow to Klobuchar-Obama, the architects of the medical device tax.
