Last season's 58-0 pasting aside, the Gophers believe they can recapture the Little Brown Jug if they play smart and believe.

Hey Maybe Kill can offer Michigan $800,000 to lay down and let his Young Gophers get a moral victory so he can Build a winning program. It worked to get out of the N. Carolina games it could work here too.. Just a thought.

It's really too bad that some people just can't support their hometown team I for one support the gophers no matter how they play! It's called loyalty Something that lacks a little in Minnesota with some people. We have a lot of bandwagon fans in this town. Can't wait for the game Against Michigan today go gophers!

jdoten55- Hey I'm on board with you! I've been a fan for 50+ years - win or lose ... and yeah, there's been far more of the later than former. As far as statement victories, every game Kill is on the sidelines coaching and publicly discussing health related maladies is a statement victory! Man's got his feet firmly on the ground and isn't a lick like Brewster per another poster. Gopher Football hasn't had a 50 year legacy of winning ... but there are some 'Johnny come lately Big Ten schools' with 'on field' winning traditions which I'd bet would gladly trade legacies with the Gophers...

It'd be nice to have a team someday that didn't have to rely on "belief" to win.

Need some more positivity on this board. In Kill we trust! Go Gophers! I remember the Big House in 1986 when Michigan was undefeated and #1 in the country, and we go in there and win on a last second Chip Lohmiller field goal. Rickie Foggie was unbelievable that day. Bring home the jug!

I really do understand most of the negative comments posted here. You start choking on the koolaid after so many years of it from so many different coaches. That being said, I do believe in Jerry Kill. There's more "there, there" with him and he has a mature, loyal staff that has it's act together. I'm in the patience mode with him and the program. I'm not drinking the koolaid, but I'm also not going to do or say anything but support the man and the kids. They are showing signs of improvement, I like Phillip Nelson a great deal, and there are some very good signs of hope. Go Gophers!

I am all in for Coach Kill and The Gophers, but I wonder what game Coach Limegrover is playing when he "moves the chains 5 yards at a time". The chains are ten yards long, dude.
