According to the article, cable news in the Edward R. Murrow mold holds the lead for "most useful" news source with 24%. I wonder which cable news journalist is seen as being a possible successor to Edward R. Murrow....

Main Street Media is so biased people are forced to look elsewhere. Can you imagine this economy and a Republican? Or what happened in Libya? The media picks and chooses what to report basis their agenda.

The liberal media does a great job of confusing the issues and sensationalizing the topics they deem appropriate. It is a good thing that we have many outlets to help us make our decisions.

For the masses, deploying one of Steven Covey's seven principles would solve this problem. "Seek first to understand, then to be understood." In other words, if you are of one political persuasion, read/listen to those from a different perspective.

elmore1 - let's see, you are a Republican. Do you watch 'fair and equal' Fox News? Do you listen to Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity? Bill O'Reilly? Their view doesn't bother me. What does is that they resort to namecalling and innuendo rather then countering someone with FACTS. You do remember facts, don't you? You are completely correct you need to use many outlets but the most important ones are factcheckers. If everyone did, we wouldn't be repeatedly lied to. How else does one explain candidates repeatedly lying even after a statement has been disproven?
