There's always something going on that's bigger than any game, but the games should go on. How can we play when there's a war happening in Afghanistan How can we play when kids are starving in Africa? How can we play when (fill in the blank)? Mr. Wade, if you don't want to play and would rather be helping clean up debris, then go ahead and do it. I'm sure someone else would want to temporarily fill in playing ball for you and that your team will take you back when you're ready to play again.
