I thought perhaps he was exhausted from counting all his money? Cargil profits rival only apple. Actually I think they make more?

Cargil is a private company, no stock holders. No chance of vulture capitalists like Mitt Romney messing with them!

No stockholders? Really? Do you have any clue about Cargill Jake? I've been hoping for some inside info on the CFO departure. Hopefully someone can provide some insight after they get home from work this afternoon.

Jakein08 - thanks for demonstrating your mastery of economics. Another know-nothing Obama disciple opining on subjects he doesn't comprehend.

It has private stock holders. The 85% of which is held by Cargill and MacMillian family members. They have had ESOP plans over the years where employees buy stock from Family members that wanted to cash out. In later years they opened a publicly traded Black River Management Hedge fund. As the company has grown they have had to make a number of complex public/private stock swaps. Most recently to satisfy the desires of philanthropic organizations that have inherited the stock from family members that have passed on.

Cargill is a market manipulator pure and simple. No different than what Barclays was doing with the Libor rate. When you peel back the curtains, you will find all kinds of things. Cargill has decimated the family farms, therefore Cargill must be downsized and exposed for what they are....corrupt. They are the epitome of too big to fail...just like the banks. Small businesses are the the true backbone of this country, not the Cargills and General Mills of the world.

Google the news about Cotton farmers suing Cargill right now for Cargill's role in market manipulation. I hope the farmers take 'em down - Cargill deserves to be exposed.

What do any of these comments have to do with Cargill's CFO stepping down? Cargill-bashers can't focus on the subject matter and can't forego any opportunity to criticize this successful local company. Why did he leave? Is there a performance issue? Is there a health issue involved?
