If the Viking's offense consistently goes 3 and out, the defense will eventually bend/break. This game and this season's success is solely reliant on the offense, and in particular, Ponder needs to complete passes down field...nothing new here, we all know it!

Ponder needs to play like a FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK in order to beat Seattle. Thus far he looks like a redshirted walk on.

The Seahawks are very good at home. Ponder will have to be top-notch for our Vikings to win. That means throwing for 190 yards, no INT's and maybe 1 or 2 TD's. Why are expectations still so high for Ponder? Makes zero sense. He wasn't regarded a 1st rounder. Nobody besides the Vikings thought he was a Franchise QB, so according to draft scouts Ponder has basically played to expectations thus far. Don't expect much more out of Ponder ONLY because our Vikings decided to draft him 12th overall. It's time to face reality. Ponder is what he is.

The biggest problem for the Vikings D is getting off the field on 3rd down. Dead last in the NFL (32). Mr. Williams better focus on why this is happining, if this stat dont change the Vikes will not win again this year.

How much longer will the Vikes D put up with a total lack of Vikes offense? At some point you'd think they'd get sick of seeing 3-and-outs and start calling out the lack of production. It's getting beyond ridiculous.

These next 2 games will decide if we have a chance for some kind of playoff spot. Before we played the Bucs last week, we had 1 game to give, unfortunately we already used that up by getting our butts kicked at home against by a 2-4 team. Now we have no room for errors, we need to win the next 2 games before the bye, there's no ifs or buts about it, we don't win the next 2 games, we won't be in the playoffs!!!! Before you reply, look at our schedule after we get back from the bye!!

Igaytan: did you honestly think we'd make the playoffs at the beginning of the season? Have some realistic expectations for this year.

Bredpath: No, but does that mean that we shouldn't right?? I mean if you asked the Packers in 2010 & the Giants in 2011 if they would win the Superbowl, do you think they would have said yes?? The present is the only thing that matters, not past records whether good or bad. We have a 5-3 record, if you look at many of the so called better teams in the NFL, their record is the same or slightly better. You have to remember that we were 1 bonehead penalty from going to a Superbowl only 3 years ago. The only major difference is our QB(Favre) & a very good receiver(Rice), we pretty have the same team outside of that. So what does that tell you? maybe we haven't replaced those 2 pivotal positions with top level players??? I strongly feel we have a very viable shot at a Wildcard spot with 1/2 the season still left, we just have to take it to another level! These next 2 games are a make or break in the direction we'll go for the rest of the season.

Bredpath: Just to add, the 49ers were one of the worst teams in the NFL just a short 2 years ago, yet they were extremely close of going to the Superbowl last year. Do you think the 49ers should've gone in thinking that they didn't have a chance at the start of last year's season to even make it to the playoffs??? I repeat my fellow Vikings fan, the present is all that matters!
