I was greatly influenced by all the signs in the yards in our city, and have come to the conclusion that I am going to vote for one candidate whose sign is a little more modest than the rest but I need to do a little more research on this topic. Does anyone know what political party the candidate known as chemlawn belongs to?

Actually, I don't know what is a bigger joke in our campaigns; those damn yard signs or the TV commercials. Has the word "mute" worn off your remote yet? It has on mine. I don't know how you feel about the marriage amendment and further, don't really care, but their commercials are on literally every single break in programming; both ways and they are ANNOYING! Campaign reform in this country has never ever been needed more than it is needed today but this topic of campaign reform will be forgotten on Wednesday of next week and we will suffer through the stupidity of this again in four, no, three, no..... maybe even two more years as the campaigning starts earlier and earlier, rivaling Christmas items in the stores before Thanksgiving, no, Halloween, no.... anyone for Christmas before Labor Day?

Comment229, I am afraid the mute button may give out before Tuesday is over. I did get a 4 day vacation from it in Canada. If you only watch Canadian stations you do not have to see this foolishness. No doubt the campaign for Gov in 2014 will start up on November 8 for another two years of being annoyed.

One good point for yard signs...they can be easily removed immediately after an election, unlike bumper stickers. Having a bumper sticker on your car after the election is over can haunt you for years and years. Sometimes whether your candidate won or lost!

The bazillion PAC dollar$ being spent on the TV ads/signs, etc., are targeted to influence the .0002% of the electorate who are still undecided/confused/coin flipping. I figure that comes out to just over $1,234,567 per vote. Too bad the $ couldn't be spent on coyote decoys or something equally useful.
