Local firm to build solar project near Boston

TenKsolar's 3-megawatt project will produce enough power for 300 homes.

So, it's made in China and not here locally. Why are we and the folks who are installing this project supporting China manufacturing? We need to create jobs here locally and not overseas.

sandyfirth: "Its panels are manufactured partly at a factory in China, then shipped to Minnesota, where electronics, frames, racks and reflective system are added." - so, components made in China. Design, assembly, final testing, etc is here. Do you scorn Apple products for the same reason? I applaud TenKSolar for bringing some manufacturing and jobs to MN.

And on top of that, "We need to create jobs here locally and not overseas." - who do you think will be installing the panels at the Boston site? Not the Chinese, I'm sure.

To clarify it will power 300 homes during the day, but none at night. (Exception: On cloudy days it will power less than 300 homes and still none at night)
