Bream pretty much called this one right, Entertaining, never elevating and we've come to expect more from a full-on arena show. Klinghoffer was fine on guitar, though his harmonies left plenty to be desired and Flea almost singlehandedly saved the show with his passion and playing. Wish the band would draw more from their entire catalog (i.e. 'Fight Like a Brave', 'Higher Ground' which was teased but not played and other earlier songs), but they haven't done that in quite a while. Entertaining but underwhelming.

Jon! Seriously? Were you at the same concert as I? It was an amazing show. Say what you want about Anthony, I think he rocked it. But what about the other 50 year olds? No one beats the drums like Chad Smith....and he's 51. Lighten up, Pal!

It's 6:45am the day after and I gotta say...this review is totally off. Everyone in our group of 6 were blown away...thought it was a fantastic show. All the songs sounded pretty close to how they sound on the radio and the light show was perfect for every song. Flea was incredible and the diss on Kiedis is unwarranted. Chilis still have it.

I think Bream was right on. Good show, not great. Flea & smith were fab, Kiedis was flat & a bit subdued relative to other shows & expectations.

I think Bream was right on. Good show, but not great. Flea & Smith were fab, Keidis was low energy & flat. Looked like he was going through the motions.

"raised on radio and high on the fumes of MTV, never realized that the Chili Peppers were once an exciting, almost dangerous band." Really? "Raised in radio and high on MTV fumes?" Thats an awfully bold remark about 13,500 people. I think youre wrong, but its your article, an "editorial" based off of opinions. These dudes are over 50 and put on a kick @ss show. Although I wasnt impressed with the setlist and think they could have played more off of Blood Sugar, the show was overall well preformed. Did you happen to see Flea jumping around and keeping the show upbeat or Keidis jumping around? These dudes are 50!! I've been to many shows of top band thats members that are 1/3 the RHCP's age that do NOT move around 1/2 as much and lean on their "light displays" and effects to impact the show. "Kiedis an AARP card dude Really?" You said that in your article? Who exactly are you comparing them to? In saying they didnt put on a great show? Compared to who Bream?

I thought the concert was great. Not sure if anyone else noticed but Anthony kept grabbing his throat after each song and was drinking tea. He probably has the cold that everyone else has! And if sounded like that while having a cold - he rocked it!

Although I completely understand Jon Bream's frustration with Anthony Kiedis, I actually enjoyed this concert and thought the Red Hot Chili Peppers put on a great show last night. I enjoyed this show a lot more than the first time I saw them in 2003 at the Xcel Energy Center when they toured off of By the Way. Only wish is that they would have performed more songs from their greatest album Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

This review is not quite right. To say the Chili Peppers have lost a little since their hay day is obvious and expected. To say that Kiedis and the band didn't bring it last night is plain wrong. I loved their set list, thought their mix of fast and slow was great. Kiedis is a fantastic live singer. Flea has always been the unofficial spokesperson for the band, why would that have changed last night? He definately brought the energy. The show was worth the price of admission, what's not to like?

I saw them at Bonnaroo this year and this review could have been written for that performance as well. It was a low energy set with Kiedis' voice range limited.
