The twinks have been pretty bad for a while. Since the pohlads got the hand-outsfor the sadium, they really have little to no motivation to put a winner on the field any time soon. Besides that, one player gets such a huge portion of the salary cap money that it gives the pohlad's a great excuse. Buy your season tickets now fans...but, until they want a new ball park, don't expect twinkie ownership to do diddly... ; 0 )

I'm not a major league baseball pitcher but in 1994 I had my ulnar nerve on my left arm moved out of it's impindgment and have suffered continual pain and discomfort ever since. That was a nerve, Gibson's was his ligament but still, even if he recoves slightly. You're never the same.

Gibson had a rough outing this week, Monday I think? 6 ER, 8H, 2IP, 1K, 1BB. Hopefully it was just an off day, and his "normal" is closer to his first three starts!

I have been a Twins fan all my life, and never has the team gone out to get the best player in free agency. Never. How about trying to do something different this year and surprise us all by getting Greinke? Having said that, I wonder if the ownership is looking at the declining popularity of the game and will have another excuse to not sign anyone near the top of the free agency list due to fear of lower revenues in the future? Shoot! I just gave them their excuse. Oh well. Another few years of poor records now. At least I'll be able to pick up cheap tix from scalpers for a while longer.

What percentage of comments for stories on the Twins this offseason do you suppose will contain the word Pohlad? Will MN ever get over it? Ever?

When will Baker be ready? I haven't heard anything about his rehab or schedule at all. I can't believe he will be ready by spring training.

It's going to be a long baseball season for the Twins and the Twins fans. Mauer will continue hitting for average and Gardenhire will continue to fawn how great he is. Anderson will have the deer in the headlights look by the 4th inning every game and won't even need a calculator when it comes to "pitch count" but will instead come up with the fascinating rotation of using 3 starting pitchers in each game going 3 innings each.
