The Wolves roster has an international flavor, including players who turned pro in their teens.

Nice do over on the 'pale in comparison' article from a few days ago! LOL. A much better angle on the story this time around.

100% agree with the comment above. Part of the Wolves whiteness has to do with the star of the team being one of the rare US-born white all-stars. The rest is mostly due to having lots of Euros on the team, which is in imitation of the Spurs small market winning ways and nothing more. But as for Barea's inclusion on the list of imports. He's gotta have US citizenship. He was born in Puerto Rico. By the way, I'm proud of the Wolves model. Whether Minnesotans know it or not, Ricky Rubio is probably our most famous sports celebrity. I've personally had run ins all over the globe where "You're from Minnesota? Ricky Rubio?" was the question. Not to take anything away from Mauer or AP, but Rubio's known farther afield.

What about jobs for real Americans?

When you get players from Russia or Montanegro, Minnesota doesn't seem so bad. I guess this is the only way the Wolves can ever attract free agents or keep players

Here is one time I'll steal a Sid line... just win baby win and I don't care if the players are from the blue moon. (On yeah... be decent representatives of your team and the region you represent too.)

If the NBA wants the game to keep growing by marketing it's league, the best way for it to happen is for the players from other countries to win and be on good teams. This can only bode well for the T'Wolves as far as the 'questionable' calls and/or referee bias we usually see with "superstars" like LBJ, Kobe, etc. just sayin

I totally agree with the weather point. Not one American free agnet player wants ice and sub-zero temps over the more moderate parts of the country.

I just hope the Wolves aren't 2-30 by the time Love and Rubio return.

Not to argue but Brandon Roy was an american born free agent. He had other offers. Chose Minny. So its one...opposed to the not one Domino is talking about.
