Isn't it nice that the Strib provides a link to Franzen's website? Downey has done an excellent job representing Edina, pulling Minnesota out of it Democrat induced fiscal nosedive, and will be a great Senator.

If people only knew how much time Keith Downey spends on divisive social issues and waging war on the unions, they would be shocked. He might be a good fit for some extremely conservative district in the land of Bachmann, but not for Edina.

Maybe the reason why Pat Hall did not show for the interview is because of his previous history as a Pastor at one of the churches in Rosemount. Read more about Pat Hall here: http://networkedblogs.com/E2Pd3

Pretty sure this endorsement, err...editorial was written by Lori Sturdevant. She basically wrote the same column a couple of weeks ago trying to promote the "pro-business" credentials of the lobbyist, err..."government affairs attorney" running against Downey.

Strib and Lori Sturdevant say Franzen's the business candidate. The Twin West Chamber and the Minnesota Chamber endorsed Downey. Guess I'm going with Downey on that issue.

Downey outraised Franzen 4 to 1 in Edina. Guess Edinan's don't agree with the Strib about which candidate fits them best. But if it matters, public employee unions, Mayor Rybak and LOTS of out of state contributors really do like Franzen a lot.

Melisa Franzen will be an outstanding member of the Minnesota legislature and will represent Edina well.
