It's a shame the NCAA doesn't work faster. Young people only have 4+ years of eligibility and should not have to fall behind because the NCAA is slow. In this case there is a definate disadvantage coming in late. No matter how good she may be as a player, she can't possibly grasp a new system and new players overnight.

This is another good example of how the NCAA can mess up an athletic program. The NCAA has too much control over schools and student athletes. Glad to see coach Horton finally land a top recruit to replace Jen mccarville, that only took 7 yrs!! Ug. I hope she has a great career.

This should REALLY help the Lady Gophers. I don't know of another Big Ten tean that has a center that can stop her. Go Gophers!

I wonder if Norwood will drop the axe on Borton in the middle of the season or wait until March? Either way it will be good to start rebuilding this program.

Great! A Swedish meatball. If it weren't for Pam Borton, Tubby would be the worst coach in the B1G.

Happy for the recruit and the team. I don't follow the women very much, but adding a quality big should really help as they have solid guard play and will for three more years. Too bad she got a late start.

She is not cleared yet, nor has she played a game in the B1G. I've seen these "can't miss" prospects turn out to be over-matched once they face some competition and have to move away from family. Finally, you can't trust Borton - worst coach in the conference.

If Teague follows the pattern,he'll give Borton an extension on her contract, a vote of confidence, and then fire her, costing the U another six figure hit!

Nuts. I saw "Swedish" and "6-5 Center" in the headline and clicked on it, thinking it would be about hockey.
