As decision day nears on the voter ID amendment, there's little agreement on whether fraud is a problem in Minnesota.

You would think that felons are all democrats. Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff, Bob Taft, Mark Foley, Duke Cunningham Don Sherwood, Bill Janlow, Bob Ney, George Ryan, Ernie Fletcher and Rush Limbau all are felons and noted Republicans. And don't forget Scooter Libby. So answer me this--are felons with no money more likely to commit voter fraud than these people? I think not.

There may be little agreement, but after 11/6/2012, there will be no room for error. You're legal, or illegal. Show you ID or you can't vote. Pretty simple, huh? Next we should get to that with our immigration policies.

Well of course there's no agreement on voter fraud. The republicans concocted this myth solely for political reasons and without regard for fact. It's been plain as day the intent was, is and always will be voter suppression. After all, what other conclusions can one draw when state republicans around the country - and without much success, happily - have tried to shut down early voting and attempted to burden voter registration with ridiculous regulation, even criminal penalties? Voter fraud is part of the same scam republican agenda. Anyone with half a brain recognizes what the true nature of the so-called "fraud" being perpetuated against voters here is.

I agree liora51, I would also like to point out why with the election of a Black President is this so called voter fraud important all of a sudden. It sickens me that the concern is biased and ideas such as these make the country that much more polarized.

Who has the facts, the state prosecutor who prosecute these charges if there is a ounce of truth in them.or someone who benefits from taking votes away from his opponents in this case the Democrats.

liora51: are any of those felons voting in Minnesota? If so are they eligible? This is an issue and ballot measure in Minnesota, take a picture of Delay and Limbaugh voting here and it will be national news.

Dan McGrath is just looking for a solution to no problem with this issue. This is a joke! This is nothing more than a ploy by the Republican party to suppress the votes. Voter ID is not a problem in MN, it's just not.

Talk about making it up as you go along. Is he suggesting that someone is organizing small groups of felons to throw elections? Has he found out how these felons have voted? And we complain about wasted money. Absolutely amazing.

The Democrat logic of we haven't found any vote fraud is the same as getting rid of police patrolling the roads and and claiming no one is speeding because there have not been any speeding tickets issued. We all know it's happening, the only different is the Democrat party relies on it happening.

Using the logic of the "Vote No" advocates there have been very few instances of daytime speeding in the state of Montana, therefore no one speeds in Montana. The fact of the matter is that there's a speed limit but it's not enforced during the day and almost everyone speeds. Because of no enforcement there are only a few instances of tickets being written. The same is true with our elections. Currently there is no enforcement, we have no idea whose voting nor how many times. Let's enforce our laws and make sure it's one person - one vote. When major elections are being determined by as few as 400 votes, there is MAJOR incentive to cheat the system. One person - One vote...it's the law. Vote yes on Voter ID..
