7-9 is the best us homers can hope for after being humiliated by the Bucs at home. This team had yet another chance to silence the critics but once again they failed to do so. Oh well, now that their "pipe dream" of winning the division and going to the playoffs is completely over they can now start doing what they do best and start telling all of us purple homers to "Wait until next year". true colors

fix the siv that is the o line and the offense will have a chance. Don't,?? and more of the same. Loadholt is junk at RT and the RG revolving door is just that for opposing teams d line (Easy to get through without much pushing) the secondary is still an issue with Chris Cook, it just been so bad in past years, anything looks better

It would have been nice to make a run here, but it now seems obvious now were not just there yet. It's hard to get frustrated though because none of us should have had any grand expectations for this year. I happen to be thrilled with the improvements - 2012 may turn out to be one of our best drafts ever: Speilman gets credit - and I still have faith in Ponder. The most disappointing part of the last few games has been the O-line. Looks like some work has to be done there. And damn shame about Cook. Don't see us having much fun the rest of the way here, but I do have high hopes for the future. Draft wish list: WR, G. Onward.

And while we're talking about the O-line... I said this last year, that maybe Loadholt should be moved inside to RG. He's a beast of a run blocker, but not so great with pass protection. Then we can look for a new RT. Maybe Schwartz can do a better job outside. He's played there before.

With the o-line being so BAD, it's a concern that some of the stars will start going down with injuries. Oh, well, the more losses there are, the better the draft picks will be and the easier next seasons schedule will be. If the queens lose big the next couple of years, they should be a bit more respectable when they open up in the new wilf-dome... ; 0 )

Todays final results still give us some hope. The Bears barely lucked out against a pathetic 1-6 Carolina Panther team and Detroit lucked out against Seattle, who has a worse record than us also, and the Packers needed a fourth quarter touchdown to beat Jacksonville, a team we gave a sound thrashing to earlier and who doesn't want to play us again any time soon. But it would have helped if those three teams didn't get so lucky so the division race was a little tighter.

If you think the Vikes can win at Seattle you are dreaming. The Vikes will be lucky to win another game the balance of the year. If Wilf really is committed to bringing a championship to Minny he better clean house and bring in a legit GM and coach. How about Bill Cowhower for starters.C'mon Wilf clean house!

I've been saying this for weeks. Pundits predicted the Vikings to win 5 or 6 games, and if so, that would be considered moving in the right direction. We already have 5 and suddenly you would think the sky is falling. I still feel 8-8 is what they will get, 9-7 would be very good. Keep it in perspective, look at Dallas, New Orleans, Carolina, Philly, etc. Would you prefer to be there right now?

"the Packers needed a fourth quarter touchdown to beat Jacksonville, a team we gave a sound thrashing to earlier and who doesn't want to play us again any time soon" you mean the jacksonville squad that was mearly 28 seconds from beating the vikings? Where exactly does a sound thrashing come into place on a last second field goal in regulation to force OT and then getting a field goal in OT after the opposing team missed a field goal? Perhaps your idea of a "sound thrashing" is different from the rest of the world? I would consider NE's 45-7 defeat of the Rams a "sound thrashing" over a 3 point OT victory any day.
