When Wolves offseason moves built a squad that's glaringly white, skeptics chimed in about motives.

Its just basketball. Color is not important...wins are important

Really? Any fan of basketball take a look at last years roster and this years roster and tell me which one is better? So if the roster is 75% white its a step back... But if its 75% black its where it needs to be? Oh, we should just go to 50/50 so everyone is happy. Get over yourselves and be happy that the Timberwolves are better than last year and we actually have a decent shot at making the playoffs.

ladykas is right. Trying to stir up controversy in this instance is just silly. Nothing counts in the NBA except winning. You get the best players you can that fit your scheme to reach that goal. Color means nothing.

That was a great article. I am very excited for the season this year. Can't wait til we have Love and Rubio back!

They didn't have a problem selling tickets when they only had 3 white guys and made it to the Western Conference finals in '04. Same owner, same white fans. This isn't the first time you've whined about the number of white guys on the team. Sounds like you're trying to make a name for yourself by stirring up some controversy, because you definitely aren't making a name for yourself with the quality of your writing.

Where was all the interviewing of white community organizers in 2005 when Hoiberg was the only white guy..... Some people will never be happy...

WOW, that may be one of the worst articles I've seen on here in a while. Did we really need to get comments from the local black leaders? I haven't bought the paper edition in a while but I may go out and buy this one just to have something to use after my morning coffee.

I can't believe they brought this up. Ok...then there are too many whites in hockey and too many blacks in football. Really? I don't think upper management was looking at the color of the player's skin when they were drafting picks/making trades. It is what it is. I think this article is racist.

Following Mr. Terrell and Mr. Edward's logic, Mitt Romney will win Minnesota in a landslide simply because of the racial makeup of the state population. It MUST be a conspiracy on the part of Timberwolves management. Yawn. Non-story. Move on.

"I think everything is a strategy. Nothing happens by happenstance." I think there is a strategy: to find the next great European players and bring them here. The Wolves rolled the dice big time with Rubio and he's amazing. I don't blame them one bit for looking to the Balkans and Russia for players. Poor Shved. Guy comes all the way from Russia to play, barely understands english, then he gets here and fans worry he and his other foreign born guys are too white? give me a break.
