Coach, the one who is struggling is your offensive coordinator, Musgrave. You hired a guy who wore the title of OC in Atlanta, but the head coach calls the plays for the Falcons. You bring him here and gave him the authority to call plays. Well, let's see. The Bucs put the ball in their rookie RB's hands 32 times (29 rushes & 3 receptions) for 214 total yards. While Musgrave only gave AP 15 rushes for 123 and 1 reception for 4 yards (127 total yards). Why not put it in your playemaker's hands to win the game for you? A rookie RB gets to touch the ball twice as much as AP. In the 1st half the Vikes had 7 possessions with only one of them resulting in more than 5 plays, how do you expect the Vikings defense (whom has been carrying this team the whole season) to get any rest with so many short series? If Ponder thinks that Musgrave had put together a great game plan then he is either a good liar or not a very smart QB. Tampa Bay was ranked 31st in pass defense, but they schemed differently by blitzing Ponder a lot, so as an OC, Musgrave must adapt and call plays to punish the defense for blitzing so much. How about a few more RB screens for AP to start. So frustrated with the ineptness of the offensive...both Ponder and Musgrave are to blame, but I put it more on Musgrave as low % fade pattern to Simpson is not consider deep passes to stretch the defense. Run a deep post and throw him the freaking ball!

Ponder did look pretty bad, but the article was correct in putting blame at the feet of the line and those who couldnt pick up a blitz to save their life. Ponder had little to no time the whole night and that definitely contributed to his poor performance.

As badly as Ponder has played the last two weeks, I would have benched him and put Joe Webb in the game when the Vikings were behind 30-10 Thursday night. We have seen in the past how Webb can electrify the offense, and Ponder seems to play worse from gradual wear and tear as the season progresses! What did the Vikings have to lose?

Let the rebuilding season continue so we can get rid of everyone after the season and start all over again as that is the Minnesota way for all sports. We only play with rookies and that way we can say they are learning as they play like crap.

No one expected the Vikings to be 5-3 at the midpoint of the season. They are rebuilding and it takes time for the young guys to mature as players. First round pick OT Kallil, while playing very well most of the time, twice let a blitzing player get to Ponder untouched. Harrison Smith, again making some great plays, got burned a couple times in this game. The Vikings are improving but this is going to take some time. I like the direction they are moving in.

Another phase of the Vikins game that needs improvement (and no one is talking about it) is the kicking game. No . . I'm not referring to our rookie placekicker. He is terrific. I am referring to our PUNTING game. Kluwe had a terrible game on Thursday night, and a couple of his kicks barely went over 30 yards. Get rid of Kluwe and sign a punter with a big LEG . . instead of a big MOUTH!

Very poor game planning overall on the coaches side. And no adjustments whatsoever. Let me guess, you were targeting Vincent Jackson since he's "the playmaker". Hmmm.. how did that work out for you?

The offensive woes the last two games are not totally Ponders fault. Even though Ponder has not proven he can win consistantly at this level, the revamped O line has not proven it can pass protect consistantly either. Also if you take away the Vikes FA pickups Simpson and Carlson who have not yet been a big factor and draft picks Childs(IR) and Wright(invisible) the Vikes are putting the same wr on the field as last year when they were 3-13. It is time for AP and Percy to rally the troops in support of Ponder and get everyone else putting out the effort that they are. I still think Ponder can make it in this league.
