Chris Cook's broken arm causes a ripple effect, forcing others into new roles. Overcoming his absence last year went poorly.

The first time I took the time to watch Robinson play was when, in the corner of the end zone, the ball was lofted high to a Buccaneer receiver and he caught it for a touchdown. The defensive back jumped as high as he could but didn't even come close. The NFL.com panel showed the play again, and Robinson was isolated one on one, with no safety help, so when the QB saw this, it was like saying "instant touchdown." I hope the best for this kid, but guess what you are going to see this week? There are no secrets in the NFL.

Typical Vikings coverage. All season there have been very tepid reviews of Cook's play. Then, when he gets hurt, he's portrayed as the irreplaceable guy. Hey Mark, when Cook got suspended last year Winfield was already out; they were starting guys like Asher Allen and Frank Walker at corner; they didn't have Josh Robinson or AJ Jefferson; Brandon Burton was pressed into service as a rookie (and wasn't even activated last week); they didn't have Harrison Smith; and Jamarca Sanford wasn't playing as well as he is this year.

There is no reason Cook's injury should hurt the Viking's more than Woodson's hurts the Packers but if the past is any indication, it will.

Robinson will be effective at corner the only thing he is lacking is Cook's size but Jefferson is also a bigger corner who will have to cover the bigger receivers. In defense of Sherls one has to wonder how many reps he gets in practice in the dime package. It is up the Vikes staff to use the players they have in the best way possible to make sure last seasons secondary woes are not a repeat. Also what about Blanton in the dime package he was a corner in college. Just put the best guys on the field.
