I've had the extreme good fortune to see the Terra Cotta Warriors in the ground where they are, outside of Xi'an in China. It's amazing. When you get out there, it looks like a not-terribly interesting State Park, on flat ground near some low hills. You take a golf-cart train about a kilometer to a huge, low shed that looks like an ice arena complex. You walk in very ordinary doors, and bam! There they are, lined up in partially excavated trenches. It's so unprepossessing all the way until you're only yards away from an incredible historical treasure. I'm so excited to see this exhibit, and I encourage everyone to go.
