What is it with people these days and their inability to follow rules. If the team is considered inelegable they can not play.

Providing proper documentation at this point would make the player eligible. But that's not the point. Prior to his being eligible, he played thus requiring his team to forfeit. Since they forfeited an elimination game, their season is finished. The rules about use of an ineligible player couldn't be more clear. You know, this happens from time to time, but when schools come across a violation they, with fail, always self-report the violation and accept, with grace, their punishment. Osseo, Mahtomedi and Waseca football teams all became aware of violations and did the right thing. What's with these guys?

What's the point of having a governing body (MSHSL) make a ruling if it won't stand? What a waste of court time and embarrassment to the whole soccer community. While some kids may have worked hard, the entrusted adults who are running the PSA show have demonstrated a complete lack of integrity and leadership. Give Choua Yang and Darbaki red cards and be done with it.

I too am disappointed that they are wasting the courts time. If the court overrides the MSHSL's ruling, then every other rule in place will be questioned and perhaps challenged in court. The boys in question have not and will not suffer irreparable harm as stated, it will perhaps teach them the importance of following and obeying the rules in place. As for throwing out the race card - enough with this please!

I wonder if this had been a Totino player that was found ineligible after the brawl and Totino had won would the MSHSL even have suspended the team in the first place. If another school besides a prestigous mostly white school rich kid private school had made the complaint would the MSHSL followed through on it? My guess is probably not. And I am not suprised by the Totino students saying those things to the Prairie Seeds players, chanting USA and such. Nothing but a bunch of spoiled, snobby brats.

The court ruled in favor of the MSHSL and the DQ of PSA stands. Duluth Marshall had to come all the way to the field in case it went the other way, a 2.5 hour drive and the cost of the bus, etc. At least they are going to use the Roseville HS field for awhile for a practice since they were pumped to play and were scheduled to practice this afternoon. Then the will return to Duluth and return Monday

I wonder what proof they have of TG kids using derogatory remarks? Furthermore, what does that have to do with the case of an ineligible player? It sounds to me like a sad, last ditch effort by the PSA Attorney to try and win the sympathy of a judge. “We’ll play the race card to see if the judge will rule in our favor”. Even if it were true (which again, I would like some proof), what does that or the fight have anything to do with the fact that they broke the rules (and it sounds like this kid was ineligible on two counts…transfer and academics)? You got caught. If you are going to cheat, keep a low profile and don’t fight. Thanks for wasting all of our tax payer money on this ridiculous motion.

Percyroy- you don't get it. The MSHSL din not suspend the team. They found that Prairie Seeds used an ineligible player. Because of this prairie Seeds had to forfeit the game. That's the way it always is, even for " mostly white" schools. Prairie Seeds should look at the class with which Osseo accepted its forfeits in football. Osseo even reported itself, a hallmark of good sportsmanship.

@Percy....ever been to any high school sporting event??? USA is like one of the most common chants...that and "quack! quack! quack!" PSA is a joke. They use players in their 20's. Whether they're black, white, yellow, pink, orange, doesn't matter. Also, the player in question transferred to PSA JUST FOR THE SOCCER SEASON. TWICE!! And you're complaining about fairness?
