SPCO, musicians battle over pay-cut numbers

Orchestra management says the trims it wants average 14 percent, not the 33 percent figure floated by the union.

Not enough people buying tickets, no market. No market, no musicians. No musicians, no SPCO, management or not. You want SPCO, buy tickets. No brainer.

Best wishes to all! But you either need to sell more tickets,raise your prices or cut your costs. Welcome to the world of economics 101. It reminds me of one of my employees saying we needed a new forklift. Stating the employees would "feel better" I then asked him how much he was willing for me to take out of his paycheck so that they/he would feel better. Was't brought up again. Still have the forklift!
