It is reprehensible that the coach/athletic director and administration of Prairie Seeds refuse to take responsibility for their players' inexcusable actions in the section final. Throwing punches? A coach with integrity would've immediately benched those players from the next game. Now, after years of rumors, it's revealed that indeed Prairie Seeds has broken the rules. The MSHSL is clear on transfer students. They are required to sit out a year and if you're in violation of this, your team is disqualified. The fact they continue to fight and whine about it casts a negative image over high school boys soccer. Prairie Seeds...this is a red card and you are out.

I think it is funny that a school who has been shown on EVERY TV station for this fight is now whining about the MSHSL finding an ineligible player on their team. What did you think was going to happen when the MSHSL does their investigation? Just look at who threw the punches? The MSHSL does a thorough investigation on the people who are allowed to be on the field and at what capacity. They are to review the team rosters and verify they are legal players. Prairie Seeds happened to get caught on a MSHSL that is VERY KNOWN to all coaches and Activity Directors on transfer students - especially in today's trend of switching schools for sports and/or academic reasons! It is amazing to me that the Activities Director, who is also the Head Soccer coach, would not have followed the rules of the MSHSL - which ALL SPORTS have to follow. Instead of blaming the MSHSL, blame yourself Prairie Seeds Academy for hiring someone who knows better and did not follow the rules! You may need to look at your choice in AD/Head Coach! There is no pity party or feeling sorry for you, Prairie Seeds! I feel sorry for those teams who lost to you throughout the season - especially those in Sections play! HORRIBLE show of sportsmanship and respect in sports!
