his teammates had rounded up the actual base he stole for his first career stolen base This is actually a really cool thing. It shows that Tolbert, even though a rookie coming out from practically nowhere, has been accepted in the clubhouse.

Give Punto some chances? How many more chances does he get? We know what he is: an above average fielder who can't hit. It's not like if he gets more at bats, he will improve. He is what he is and I can't believe an American League team would even waste a roster spot on him. But, this is the only National Leauge team in the AL we're talking about.

That translates to less than 100 plate appearances for the season. As long as Gardenhire puts his subs in occasionally, and not all in the same game, and throw that game away like he's prone to do... starting all his scrubs on Sundays... This team will find more ways to win. So I applaud Punto starting tonight, as long as he's not playing tomorrow on Scrub filled Sunday. Even against the Royals... in the end the stats don't care who you played against... it's all about wins and losses and Punto and Everrett and Redmond equal a loss more than usual.

Just like 2 years ago, our teams success depends on Liriano, lets hope he has the same effect as last time!

The Twins have got to be smarter at money ball. If you can put off Liriano's arbitration for another year, you've got to do it. And given that he wasn't pitching that great anyway, the Twins had a perfect excuse to keep him at Triple A. Both Mulvey and Humber have been pitching pretty good ball at Rochester. We should have called up one of them.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Liriano's agent was in Smith's ear telling him his client better get on the big league roster in time for his arbitration deadline. I don't doubt this a bit. Smith probably obliged to keep in good standing with Liriano for future negotiations. I've heard Liriano's agent is a dink.

liriano isn't evan longoria. we shouldn't keep an asset in the farm system so we can limit his major league service time. we are reputable organization that can sign him long term if proves durable
