As revenue plummets, Imation will restructure

The latest reorganization will involve cutting about 200 jobs worldwide.

Imation has not performed well since 3M spun it off years ago. It's just a money pit.

That's another 226 workers to hit the unemployment line. But Imation will let them go in December....after the election.

Imation has LONG had problems since the spinff. It never knew what it wanted to be when it grew up and the corporate identity has suffered. Lots of good people from 3M (some from my own family) held on to jobs that would have been elminated, but its time has come--let capitalism do the weeding it should have done years ago.

Tha last Imation product I bought was a 3.5" diskette for my computer and that was years ago!
