For Kill and the Gophers, a bowl game of any flavor will do

With his team in a three-loss rut, the coach is using a postseason game as motivation. Beating Purdue would put that goal within reach.

Personally, I'm more interested in seeing week to week improvement - limiting fumbles and defense lapses against the run, etc. A minor bowl would be nice, but steady improvement would be more meaningful.

Question-will they recoup the 8000,000 from the NC game if they go to a bowl? Also, I am still waiting for the president of the U to justify the buyout of the NC game. I think as fans and taxpayers we deserve that. I am serious on these 2 questions.

That's laughable. They can't even beat a Big 10, or is it Big 11? Big 12? Big 13? Whatever it is, they can't beat a team in their own conference.

I'm sure Kill is sizing up Purdue and Illinois as winnable games, thus making his Gophers bowl eligible at 6-6. Trouble is that Purdue and Illinois are looking at the Gophers as winnable games.

Just plain pathetic football leading to a possible pathetic excuse for a bowl game.
