Vikings defense limiting production of (most) rival stars

The Vikings have stopped opponents' big-play threats in the games they've won. They'll face another on Thursday night.

Not a whole lot of real "stars" in the easy portion of the vikings schedule thus far through week #7 other than RGIII and he shred the vikings to pieces. Just wait until the vikings are forced to play the first place and soon-to-be NFC North Division champs Chicago Bears. I don't think Ponder , Harvin or Peterson will be able to stand up the all the stars on the Bears defense.

No real stars? I believe San Francisco has stars all over the place, such as Gore and Davis. How about MJD week 1? If our offense can get rolling and keep the Bears defense off balance, we will have a good shot of winning both those games against the Bears. We are sporting the 6th overall defense. If we shut down Marshall and keep Forte limited, we can and will win that game.

Calvin Johnson Chris Johnson Frank Gore MJD Reggie Wayne RG3 Larry Fitzgerald whatever prplstuge - why are you always trying to bring vikings fans down? if you are a fan of the Packers why don't you go gloat on those boards instead.

I am as happy as anyone with our record but this defense is not that good. They ARE greatly improved from last year but our rush is inconsistent, we are soft up the middle, and our LB's cant cover the pass well enough. I hope I am proved wrong, but I doubt it. The other teams ineptitude has helped us alot.

Nice to read an article giving some credit to Alan Williams for the D's turnaround. I was very skeptical about the moves (or lack thereof) with the coaching staff after last season, especially firing the d-line coach after leading the league in sacks. However, they all seem to be working out perfectly so far.
