Seimone Augustus had a nightmarish shooting night. The first team All-WNBA guard was three of 21 and finished with just eight points.

Great season. Two basketball maxims played out. "You live by the jump shot, you die by the jump shot" and "Defense wins championships". Indiana played great defense, Tamika Catchings played with the heart of a champion. The Lynx bench disappointed all year, with the exception of Monica Wright. Simone Augustus did not play with the hunger she showed in 2011. Maya Moore needs to learn to take better care of the basketball. Rebekkah Brunson needs more inside help than Taj can give her. Taj will be a great coach, the Lynx should hire her as an assistant. Lindsay Whalen needs to get healthy and her 3 point shot going.

Yes, the Finals ended in disappointment. Not only because the returning champions with the best record and multiple WNBA category "bests" lost the championship in a very unpretty way, but because of the painfully out-of-character showing by the team. A few Lynx deficiencies showed: the lack of a mobile, physical "big" in the middle; breakdown in defense and oddly undisciplined displays of offense. The Lynx lacked grace under pressure. Still, this original Season Ticketholder wants to say "thank you" to the team and coaches for a remarkable year. You gave the media something to write about, fans something to cheer about and overall, it was a good, hard run. I'm looking forward to the team returning with something to prove next season and wish all the players -- those returning and those who aren't -- the absolute best.

While the last 2 games were painful to watch, the last 2 seasons were any basketball fan's dream. Whalen will forever be the small town hero for so many young MN boys and girls who now believe they too could be like Lindsay. Thanks to the team and to the coaches for 2 great seasons!

WNBA is worthless!!!! Sorry but pro sports is about money, not equality. You may not like to hear it, but sometimes the truth hurts.

This was text book. These women soaked it all in and all thought they were big time. Even the caoch. I've never heard so many smug interviews. Were these ladies the Twins, Wild, Wolves, or Vikings the newspapers would be ripping them mercilessly.

Cheryl Reeve acted like a fool. Simone went in the tank. I blame the cop in Roseville who pulled her over for the air freshener.

Augustus should have been sent to the bench. Anyone, and I mean anyone (I think of A-Rod of the Yankee's) that has an "off night" needs to take a break and sit on the bench. I wonder why she stayed out there? Anyhow, the Lynx gave MN something to cheer about. Now if any other of MN teams can follow their lead, that would be something. Good season Lynx!!

Ok, who was REALLY coaching this team last night: Kill, Gardenhire, Tubby, or Frazier?
