I would like to believe these poll numbers as I am an ardent Democrat. But after a weekend in North Central Minnesota, we saw only Craavak signs all along the Highway 10 and 371 corridors. Good luck to Rick Nolan unseating Craavak - I for one would welcome another Democrat to the U.S. House!

Nolan is an avid hunter, yet Cravaack is still trying to scare voters into losing their second amendment rights. The ammo companies are making lots of money off Cravaack's false claim.

This is good news. Voters are beginning to understand that the tea party has nothing to offer.

I suspect you will be seeing a whole bunch of rethinking in this election when the attitude last time around was "throw the bums out." You did, but forgot to look at who would be taking the "bums" place. I think Minnesota has had enough of Chip and a few other members of congress who may be "refreshing" to some, but have caused gridlock and frustration for most.

After running two years ago on job creation, Chip Craavak and his Republican allies in Congress have gone out of their way to stop all legislation that would help to grow the economy and create jobs; after all, the primary objective of the Republicans in Congress (as stated publicly by their leadership) was to do everything within their power to deny President Obama a second term. Despite Mr. Craavak's best efforts, however, the economy is improving and jobs are coming back. We need someone who will do what is in the best interest of the country and the state of Minnesota. Obviously, that is not Chip Craavak. Vote Nolan!

I'd leave a Republican in that seat. If you put a Democrat in there he'll hold the position for 30 years. A Republican would fear defeat every election and would vote more in what the people of the district want, not along party lines.

If Nolan is elected, we will face a far greater likelihood of a less just, less secure, less safe Minnesota than we have even today. I hope that Minnesotans of the 8th will show better sense than this poll would indicate, come the first tuesday in November.

I just got back from northern MN. Easily the signs are in Chip's favor. From my drive, 5 to 1. More telling yet, the Virginia paper (Mesabi Daily News) gave Chip a ringing endorsement while pointing out Nolan's lies and falsehoods. The letters to the editor and op ed pieces all favor Chip. There is no way Nolan leads this race.
