Minnesota has had some talented safeties over the years, but no one has had a better first year than Harrison Smith.

Sid! We finally agree! but would you mind telling us who the other safety is? He is still an unknown..... along with a couple of linebackers.

You're right on about Harrison Smith, Sid. People are going to focus on Smith's great pick six day, but the hit he put on Calvin Johnson was a big turning point in that game in Detroit. It broke up a touchdown reception. It will be nice to get Mistral Raymond back. Hopefully, for the Bucs game. Jamarca Sanford has really filled in admirably there. And that's been refreshing, because he had a rough season last year. Skol Vikes!

I don't think Harrison Smith should change one thing about his style of play. but he's got a ways to go to become the next Joey Browner.

Sid in regards to Harrison Smith...."He is who we thought he was!"

Settle down Sid. Smith has only played 6 1/2 games so far. Maybe wait until the end of the season before saying he's even in the same conversation with Joey Browner.

Didn't Sid just say "best safety rookie year"? I'll give him that, even at this point of the season. Now he needs to do it year after year to be in the same league as Browner. Too bad Smith can't do that horse collar thing that Browner was famous for. With all the other rules like defenseless receiver and helmet to helmet there's no way he can play the same game Browner did. Joey's probably the reason for some of those rules... or at least the 'no horse collar' one.

uh Sid....how do you forget Orlando Thomas and his 9 INTs in his rookie year? Harrision is looking good, but come on man...Orlando was a game changer back then.

So far very good, but it will be a long time before we rank him with Krause or Browner
