The automaton is nice and growing. I am surprised your article featured a company that is built on the premise of summertime salespeople who Vivint hires, locates to a market for the summer, then sends home after the selling season. Not somebody (door to door salesperson)I would want to buy from to trust my home security to. Give me an established company with a stable workforce and local capabilities.

robden makes a very good point. There are several "fly-by-night" security companies, most of which have been run out of MN, that use underhanded tricks to get you to sign expensive long-running contracts. With smartphone technology, central monitoring fees are becoming obsolete. My system notifies me directly, eliminating the monitoring fees. It has worked well and I don't have another monthly bill to pay.
