All I can say is wow. Really was hoping that Nelson would redshirt, but with Gray injury-prone and Shortell's bad play Kill probably feels that he has no choice. Let the kid play. Man, I want that axe!! Go Gophers!!!

Maybe the Gophs should pay the rest of the Big 10 a few million, skip the rest of this year's games, and save Nelson for next year. Most if not all of these teams are even better than UNC.

From here on, Kill is reverting to spring games mode and all are auditioning. Actually, every game appeared to have a spring football taste as the team (with one possible exception) were never ready to play from the very first whistle. It is almost too comical with all the injuries ... welcome to Minnesota college and pro sports, coach! Tomorrow the Badgers win by 30+.

Perhaps a name change to the Minnesota Crested Wrens is in order.

The State of College football is in ruins in Minnesota. We have one team in the FBS who is a perenial loser and the rest of the state is stuck somewhere in DII and DIII land. Our friends in the Dakotas have a number of FCS teams who can beat any and every team in this state! Worse yet, not one MnSCU college of any size has the wherewithall to step up to the tee and move up to FCS. Boo! As an an Alum of both the U and MnSCU all I can say is BOO!

Kill makes no sense. He gives UNC $800,000 because he's scared of what they will do to his team's psyche but he's not worried about what 70,000 Badger fans will do to his prized freshman's?

Remember last week when I said the Gophers should schedule South Dakota State in order to improve their winning record? Well, it was just announced that Gophers have scheduled South Dakota State! I suppose beating the SDSU Jackrabbits will mean a lot more then a UNC loss!

I'd like this a lot more if it weren't for the injuries to the linemen and receivers.
