Reusse: Emotions lift Lynx sky high

Cheryl Reeve's meltdown raised the roof in the arena, but the truest game-changing sound came when Seimone Augustus resolved at halftime to step up and put the team on her shoulders.

The officials started out letting the two teams play and then officiating went downhill on the heels of the previous poorly officiated game. It's time that the WNBA improve the caliber of referees. I love the fire that Coach Reeve has brought to the Lynx from Day One. She's mentioned that she doesn't want her team to be out-hungered and she provided the impetus for that not to happen tonight. Seimone was fearless and Maya (what "Moore" can you ask for?) added a double offensive knockout. Great win for a team that took back its home court advantage.

Rallen-The Lynx can only take back their home court advantage with a win in Indiana. If Indiana wins their 2 at home, season over - so the Lynx didn't take back their home court advantage tonight - just sayin'.

They better get better refereeing in the next game, or there are going to be players hurt. These teams are playing hard. They deserve better.

Lynx play basketball like they love the sport and each other, a big difference compared to NBA teams.

Zeke -- thanks for your reading. I'm an original season ticketholder, so I understand how Home Court advantage literally works. My comment regarding "advantage" was in reference to our loss on home court during Game One Finals. The team did not capitalize on the home team momentum that is expected to feed from the enthusiasm, energy and support provided by home crowd attendance. The Team and part strategist/part motivator Cheryl Reeve turned that around this game. To be clear, my reference was figurative, not literal ... just sayin...

Ruesse - great article... is that Lynx passion flowing through your fingertips? Glad to see you capture the excitement of that game last night. I think I sat for about 10 minutes total.
