Who cares anymore no matter how badly the Badgers predictably whip the Gophers on Saturday in Camp Randall? Any program that willingly spends $800,000 to get out of a home and home series with a modest opponent can no longer be taken seriously as a D-1 program. Such an embarrassing and cowardly act! I am sure that adding replacement games with several East Overshoe Techs will more than fill the stands with excited and enthusiastic fans as well as the coffers of the athletic department...but maybe not! Let me understand the logic again here for the drop UNC decision. Mason got fired because he insisted on playing patsies in non-conference play resulting in low fan interest, low attendance and major losses of revenue for the athletic department. So, Kill gets hired, begins to appear to be making progress with the program and then opts out of winnable games with very average, a D-1 level, opponent. So, the U agrees to pay $800,000 of finite AD resources so as to take a team off of the schedule that fans may well turn out to see play in favor of games with major powers like New Hampshire or New Mexico State that fans will not turn out to watch...i.e. major loss of revenue for the football program once again. Now then, what am I missing here in Teague's/Kills "logic" with this decision?

Gray is somewhat a good athlete and should stay at wide receiver. His quarterback skills are not close to be really good. Let's go Gophers!

Badger defensive secondary will eat Gray up.

Oh No! Not That! Anything But That! I'm sure the Badgers coaching staff and all the players won't sleep a wink between now and kick-off worrying about Gray in the game as a receiver. Badgers 55 Gophers 3.

And just who is going to throw to Gray? Shortell has trouble hitting the broad side of a barn.

I am waiting to hear that the U of MN has paid another $800k to cancel the game so Kill could afford yet another blowout loss.

Can we talk football or is everyone still whining about the $800k buyout? Gophers will have their hands full vs. a very mediocre and one dimensional Becky team. It'll be hard for the Gophers to stop Ball...Gophers 21 Bucky 38.
