Delicious restaurant. Great Prices. Nothing pretentious about it. Well done Kevin.

Yelp currently reflects the status of 29 reviews averaging at 4.5 stars overall. This is a nice article, although having been to Nectar dozens of times I have to politely disagree with some key points. The dishes are anything but complicated. They remain simple, hearty, rustic... They don't need to be complicated - the flavors fuse perfectly and don't need any showy assistance. I would love to know what pretenious football soirees the writer attends where the absolutely divine salsa baked goat cheese seems like it would be better placed. Being a regular at Nectar and a huge supporter of the restaurant (clearly) I appreciate many of the observations that were made. I'm delighted that Mr. Nelson enjoyed his experience. I'm also hopeful that he returns, because each trip to Nectar delivers another lovely experience. We are very fortunate to have such an outstanding place in the north metro. My husband and I have brought several people to the restaurant and we have attended a wine dinner - we have never had an experience that was anything short of incredible. The ambiance is warm, the food is superb, and the staff is gracious. Chef Kevin is amazing and I intend to continue my quest of getting him to go on Top Chef Masters.

Couldn't agree more with Ashley. My wife and I visit nectar 3-4 times/month (dinner or happy hour - or both) and between the two of us we have probably had every item on the menu. We have brought 20+ friends/family to nectar over the past 18 months and without exception everyone has loved the meal they had - and now they are bringing their friends/family to nectar as well. I won't nitpick on the criticisms made by Mr. Nelson, but I have to disagree with his assessment of the crab topped mahi mahi - in my opinion this is probably the best dish Kevin puts on the menu. Looking forward to having dinner there tonight... Eric

I have to agree with both gramps and Ashley. My husband and I are regulars at Nectar, as we were at Kevin's first restaurant in Maple Grove. We love the salsa baked goat cheese and have yet to have a bad meal at his restaurant. His staff is warm, efficient and knowledgeable. We are so lucky to have them in the northwest suburbs! It sure beats the heck out of the multiple chain establishments in the area.
