More females in Minnesota are discovering the joys of upland bird hunting.

Chuckle here. My wife and I have been hunting together for over 30 years. The key to getting your wife in the field is proper gear so they are comfortable in the field. Should have seen what it was like to find good clothing (particularly camo and boots) for women 30 years ago. Further, get the gun fitted. My wife's trigger pull length on her O/U (and her deer rifle) is 12 3/4". Deer hunting success? 16 in the last 20 years. Does her own field dressing and we do our own processing together. Try upland birds first with a good working dog.
