Simpson not eager to sit again

The receiver was clearly displeased over the decision not to play him at Washington, saying he did not feel limited.

Simpson and Carlson (TE)...a couple of quality off-season acquisitions (not!). Use them or release them! These two along with drafting the two rookie receivers from Arkansas look to be the biggest misses of the off season...the shortage of quality receivers is the most glaring weakness on the team.

The Carlson deal is as bad as McNabb in my opinion. That is HUGE money we could have used against a WR, free agent. 5 years, 25 million for a backup TE who is so bad now after injuries we hardly even play the guy. Oh, he's a MN Native, Go Figure! Hometown deal, gone sour.

Zoilov-I couldn't agree more. Instead of going after Vincent Jackson we sign John Carlson?!!? REALLY? After Harvin and a healthy Simpson (keep your fingers crossed he can play Sunday), the rest of our WR corp is a bunch of mutts...truly embarassing.

Get Simpson out there on the field now! If he wants to play and can play through him in the next games to do something. The Vikings need all the help they can.

I'm sure I'll get flamed over this but the Vikings are still 1-0 in the NFC North. They beat the Lions, "big deal" I know. But first worry about the division, win the division or get wildcard, get to the playoffs and then who cares with this young crew. It's all step by step. I don't think the Vikings want to show full strength right now. What for? This is a rebuilding year. Anybody forget that?

@Tabarnoosh - Last Sunday's game in DC is a perfect example of why the vikings will not be going to the playoffs this year or next. They simply are not a good team and will be lucky to finish the season at 8-8!!!

I KNEW things were going too smoothly for the Vikes. Now a millionaire receiver is complaining because he is getting paid for doing nothing. Wish I could get a gig like that!

Something is wrong. Coach wants to win now so why would he sit Simpson. We'll find out soon what the real problem is. Agree that Spielman whiffed on the Arkansas players,Carlson and Simpson as it looks today. So far not good but we'll see in 2013. At least Spielman knew they needed WR's.

Spielman still has Miami Dolphin stench about him as far as I'm concerned.

They should've just paid to keep Shainco around here vs. Carlson. At least Shainco showed up and was never an injury liability. Kyle Rudolph is a stud. I'm not ready to throw Simpson under the bus yet, but I'll toss the coach under there in a heartbeat.
