How about calling an audible when you see a blitz coming?? Is Musgrave allergic to a middle screen? Anything but a bubble screen. Awful play calling today.

The disturbing aspect of Ponder's poor play is the fact, that last year he kept repeating his mistakes. If Ponder's the QB we hope he is, he'll rebound and have a good performance against the Cardinals at home next week. One encouraging thing, in my opinion, was Ponder led the team back with 14 points in the 4th quarter. He never gave up and kept trying at least. Ponder played poorly, but so did our defense, and our coaches could have done a better job as well. We lost as a team. Now let's move on and prepare to defeat Arizona next week. Skol Vikes!

Typical viking's collapse on the road against a mediocre club. Outside of the humptydome this club continues to stink!!! No way are vikings going to the playoffs, they still have to face the Bears, Packers, Texan, Seattle and another mediocre cub on the road in St. Louis. Right there are 5 automatic losses!!!

Ponder continues to play like TJack. Play after play he runs 20 yds deep to avoid an imaginary sack but then he can't throw it back past the line of scrimmage. Either that or he runs it back to scrimmage and gains a yard. You can blame the coaches, the WR's, the defense but the bottom line is until Ponder can throw 60 yds into the end zone and hit Harvin for a TD like Russell Wilson did with Rice, he will be just another mediocre QB. Problem is his college injury won't let him. I wish Spielman would have listened to the scouting reports.

I don't really know exactly why the Vikes do not attempt to throw the long ball but I don't think it totally has to do with Ponder's lack of arm strenght. Percy should have enough speed to get deep but Vikes rarely throw deep to him. Percy was upset with the way players were being used on offense and that may be why the Vikes are just getting him the ball and letting him run with it, because he can definitely do that. How about RG3's arm,he really never threw the ball downfield either.Vikes should have made him beat them with his arm rather than his legs like the were doing in the first quarter

If the Vikings defense makes that third down stop on Griffin instead of letting him run all the way, maybe we'd have a different outcome. The Vikings defense was not as stout as it has been, Ponder has surrendered the ball five times in the last two games (4 Ints, 1 fum), and when in the red zone, the Vikings best offensive players are too often standing on the sideline watching. The three things I've mentioned are fixable: Play better defense, our QB has to take care of the ball, and Peterson and Harvin need to be on the field in the red zone. Not giving up on the team, liked the way they battled back after being down by 19, but the Vikings will need to play smarter and harder going forward.

This just was not an all around solid effort that we have seen the past 5 weeks. "Stuff" happens. Move on. The killer was the Vikes should have had a 21-0 lead instead of 9-0 in the few possessions. You get in the red zone on three consecutive drives you need more than 9 points.....oh well take out the frustration on AZ who has 2 banged up starting QB's.

Full disclosure. I picked the Viies to go 2-14 this season and they have doubled that but I wonder how many more they can get? Many picked them to go 5-11 or 6-10 at best and that may still be realistic. There are many reasons to be worried and its not based on one lousy game. Simpson has Joe Mauer Syndrome and has this questionable injury. John Carslon has been a huge bust. The scariest part is Ponder. He may be brilliant as far as school goes but that hasn't translated to being a QB. I think the best ones show themselves right away and he isn't. He has thrown 18 career picks and all of them have been so bad anyone could pick them including me or a grade schooler. They are always thrown right to people. I think this is what he is and I just have this feeling he will never get better to the point of taking a team deep into the playoffs. I also feel Frazier and his coaches are mediocre at best and can't get the max out of people.

Ponder is basically a right handed Steve Young. Ponder has potential to be an "ELITE" Status NFL QB. There were the "real" comments on here, after the 49ers game about Ponder. Fact is-Ponder doesn't have a strong arm, but plays smart. Hence I call him, Trent Dilfer 2.0. That's all he really is.

Not so sure about Ponder at this point. He seemed like he wasn't prepared to play yesterday. Just not sharp in any aspect of his game at all. That said, Ponder better figure it out real fast or the Vikes will end up 4-12.
