It was hard to sit there and watch last night. Indiana ran circles around the whole team. That sort of energy will get them defeated. That performance was Mauer-like.

Man this loss is hardly all on Maya's shoulders. She struggled yes but she was hardly a "no show." She has not carried the Lynx through the season on her young shoulders. Its easy to debate is she is the teams best player. She is a young budding star but she is NOT all world as a pro yet. This team needs more from alot of people not just Moore. Whalen didn't do a good job of running the offense at all. Brunson was more the no show in the 2nd half. Taj looked slow and over all the Lynx didn't defend Indiana well. The weight of this team is not on Moores shoulders its on Whalen, Augustus and Brunson and whatever Taj has left. If they don't do their jobs, even a Tamika Catching or Candace Parker like performance from Maya won't save this team. Maya will be fine and the bench needs to step it up too. I believe the Lynx will figure it out & get this done.

They outhustled the Lynx to a lot of loose balls and were the beneficiary's of some let them play officiating at times, then call the ticky tack fouls others. Brunson tried hard on the boards, but there bigs were beating our guards and bigs to a lot of loose balls and rebounds. Maya didn't shoot well and was struggling on defense at times but his loss was not on her shoulders, the reach in foul the referees called Maya tipped the ball away and the ball only from behind she did not foul that player. If the referees would have gotten that call it could have been a different game as the crowd and players were clearly rattled and had a harsh reaction to the call. The play before the offensive charge call and yes it was charge by Indiana, the referees had just called a charge on the Lynx when the Indiana defense had created the contact with the offesnive player and the defensive players feet were moving and not set. The referees had an off night and if this is the best the WNBA can do, they really need to rethink which referees get playoff assignments. Indiana was more hungry they wanted it more and they beat the Lynx last night and were not intimidated by a big loud crowd. They dominated Taj on the boards and she was missing a lot of shots. We could not hit a shot in the fourth quarter even with rough play we were right there tied or in the lead with 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Indiana players showed and played like they wanted it more.

This was a team loss clearly, it is not on Maya. The whole team has to pick it up or the Lynx are in real trouble.
