There is little doubt that Peterson has lost a step over the past two seasons. It's easy to see that he no longer has the break away speed he used to have when he was able to run past the linebackers and DBs enroute to the endzone early in his career. Over the last two seasons he is always getting caught from behind by these linebackers and DBs when he is able to break away from the pack. AP has certainly earned his spot in the HOF but it's too bad he will never win a Super Bowl ring in his quickly fading career.

I can say I know exactly how Peterson felt. I tore my quadricep when I fell going down some stairs in 2009. To this day I can't go down stairs w/o a handrail. It messes with your brain.

Fans have to get used to it, the average NFL RB does not get better after age 27 and having an ACL injury. Peterson's best years are behind him. Tomlinson began to slip after age 27, Jamal Lewis best year was his second and Peterson is going to be less and less of this offense.
